Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer that was born in Newark, New Jersey on 9th August, 1963. The parents of her are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick sings as well. Her first singing gig was in a choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when she was a child at the age of 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally with their mother in Chaka Khans 1978 hit Im Every Woman. In the following years, she was a background vocals for Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and even her mother. The year 1981 saw her begin to work as a vocalist with New York's funk band Material. The band's quality vocal performance with this group that caught notice of major record label such as Arista. In 1985, Whitney Houston's debut album was the best-selling debut album of all time. It featured a number of hits such as How Will I Know You Give Good Love Saving All My Love For you and The Greatest Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US charts-topping singles in a row which surpasses the Beatles. The album was sold to three million people in its first year, and over 25 million worldwide. The album won her first six Grammy Awards. The 1987 follow-up album Whitney that included hits The Place Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built the foundation of her popularity, however it was her 1992 movie The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the most successful artists ever. The film and her part in it was not popular, however the soundtrack and her rendition of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You were charting for months in the charts, and she sold more than 44 million albums and singles across the globe. In the same year, she got married to the former New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she was the sole parent of their child Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. About this time her well-documented addiction to drugs began. By 1996, she had been using drugs on a daily basis.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as a reporter, anchorwoman and political reporter. The shows she hosts on weekends include Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List award in Elle magazine. Bash is highly regarded for her amazing abilities as a reporter/an anchor. This George Washington University grad is a devoted mother to her only child. She is single and had two marriages.
